Resettlement Centre

The ARCH Resettlement Centre

The building consists of office space, support offices and 12 x one-bedroom, self contained flats with all amenities over three floors. There is a lift for those with mobility issues. There is a south facing garden with an area set aside for relaxation purposes and barbequing.

The fabric of the building has recently been upgraded with new flooring, decorating and lighting system.

The ARCH also has 10 scatter flats. These are flats set aside for tenants who may require some additional support at the time they move on from The ARCH. Loneliness can have an adverse effect on people when they live isolated in the community. The Project identified this some years back and decided to purchase and sublet property within the local community so that low level support could be on offer for the most vulnerable of tenants.

The ARCH is run by a team consisting of Manager, Deputy Manager, and Administrator/Finance Officer, 3 x Resettlement Support Workers, Part Time Weekend Support and sessional staff.

The ARCH Resettlement Centre is an independent service, offering a 10-module support programme over 26 weeks in order that men who are in need are able to sustain their own tenancy when presented to social housing for consideration. Support is provided by a dedicated staff team, incorporating the Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC). The service offers a one-to-one, holistic approach towards support, with each support plan tailor-made for each service user.

Over the course of a week each service user will be expected to attend group work on a Monday and 5 x one-to-one support sessions. This will reduce as service users complete each module, culminating in the resettlement module where it's anticipated they will be ready to secure their own tenancy.

Tenants are free to disengage at any time and secure private rented accommodation if they so wish.
